Orange is the 'medium' of the contrast filters for black and white photography. Milder than red and stronger than yellow, it completely eliminates ultraviolet, darkens blues and greens and is excellent for telephotography of mountain and marine scenes. Available in most sizes in medium #16 and dark #21.
